The Power of Acceptance…

The concept of acceptance is utterly simple. It is also possibly the most powerful tool we have in our emotional lives! So why is it so hard for us to accept our selves, our feelings, and our lives?
Unfortunately, many people equate acceptance with being resigned, passive, not being pro-active enough, or just not being ambitious. They think that if they fight a good fight, soldier on and work harder that they will get what they want…. Actually, the opposite is true!
The truth is…
If you start accepting your life – where you are
and how you feel – you will be lowering your
resistance, and find yourself attracting
the abundance you want!
I know it sounds counter-intuitive… even backwards — it doesn’t quite feel like the “right” recipe… accept where you are and that’s what will make you change, really? But it’s true. Why? Because if you don’t accept where you are emotionally or energetically, it immediately sets up energetic resistance... which blocks the Law of Attraction from bringing into your life that which you have been requesting with your vibration.
Acceptance carries a vibration, as does resistance.
Which vibration do you think actually
“speaks” to the Universe?
I had it backwards for a long time… but once I “got” this paradox, then much of what I was hoping for and dreaming about fell into place with more ease than I had ever expected.
So to stop the resistance, I invite you to start accepting where you are emotionally, and watch the abundance flow into your life.
How do you accept where you are?
(1) Stop trying so hard to change where you are…
(2) Stop criticizing where you are or how you feel…
(3) Stop yearning for what others have…
(4) Stop repeating mantras like “I don’t deserve” or “it will never happen for me” or “I’m not worthy of abundance“…
To make it easier, you could start doing the following:
(1) Relax more…
(2) Tap every day on accepting yourself and your feelings…
(3) Make appreciation lists about yourself…
(4) Enjoy what you do have in your life, knowing more is coming…
(5) And most importantly, accept your emotions, even if they are uncomfortable, stressful, or not very socially “acceptable.”
Every feeling you have is totally acceptable. Now, if you’re angry, you’re not supposed to kick someone, but you can feel and express anger. If you’re jealous, you’re not supposed to hurt someone, but you can admit to feeling it. Own your feelings, accept your feelings, and then you can release them.
What’s the “good news” in all of this? EFT/Meridian Tapping and the Law of Attraction are by far the simplest techniques I’ve ever found to help with acceptance.
I recommend that you use the EFT setup phrases below to handle your lack of acceptance and watch your vibration improve… then feel inpsired to raise your vibration even more!
1. EFT SETUP PHRASES:
The EFT SETUP Phrases for this topic are as follows:
While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation).
“Even though I haven’t been very accepting of my feelings in the past, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway!”
“Even though I find it uncomfortable to accept myself, I choose to deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway.”
“Even though I haven’t been very accepting of me or my feelings, I choose to accept myself now and enjoy the peacefulness my new acceptance is bringing.”
I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below. You may repeat the positive round more than once if you wish. (Those of you who are new to EFT may view a chart of the spots on my web site under the EFT pages.)
***Now for the phrases that focus on the problem***
Eyebrow: “I didn’t realize how unaccepting I have been of myself and my feelings.“
Side of Eye: “I wonder where I learned that habit…”
Under Eye: “I’m always trying to change myself instead of accept myself.”
Nose: “What if I tried to accept myself first?”
Chin: “I don’t have to worry about change right now…”
Collarbone: “I might even be acceptable as I am.”
Under Arm: “I want to want to accept myself!”
Head: “I didn’t realize it would be so hard.“
***Now for the positive focus on the solution***
Eyebrow: “What if I just accepted my feelings right now?”
Side of Eye: “What if I owned my feelings and relaxed?”
Under Eye: “I am considering accepting myself and my feelings.”
Nose: “What if I made a commitment to accept who I am now?”
Chin: “I want to accept myself, but I feel unacceptable.”
Collarbone: “I choose to believe I am acceptable.”
Under Arm: “I choose to accept all of me!”
Head: “I love knowing that all my feelings are acceptable!”
Access more positive vibrations with the Law of Attraction by repeating the following phrases (while tapping or not) or ones that suit your situation:
Thank You, Universe for allowing me to accept all of my feelings in my life.
Thank You, Universe for guiding me on how to replace my lack of acceptance with ease and compassion.
Thank You, Universe for showing me how important self-acceptance is in my life.
